From a menswear store in Emmeloord to a champagne house in Reims. Made together with interior designers and fitters.

Every custom made table starts with a question from a customer or a designer. Below you see seven of them, with the question we got and the furniture we made.

Stone Gallery

A 460 cm table in wenge built around a 400 kg amethyst for a gallery of minerals and fossils.

Stone Gallery shows a changing collection of minerals, meteorites, petrified wood and fossils. The gallery supplies museums, interior designers, landscape architects and private collectors.

The question

I have a beautiful amethyst and I would like to have a table built around it. For a long time I have been searching for someone who wants and can do this for me.

What we made

The size of the amethyst, 160 x 120 cm, and its weight of 400 kg were no obstacle. Designer Nathalie Petersen chose wenge for its structure and dark colour, a fine match with the violet stone.

After the moulds for the base and the top were made, the table was finished. It measures 460 x 160 cm.

Juta Holland BV

Height adjustable desks, fixed desks with floating drawers and a kitchen island with a 380 cm conference table.

Juta Holland produces and supplies high quality synthetic fabrics for ground, road and water engineering and for agriculture.

The question

For our new office building we looked for customized, height adjustable desks and a conference table. But a bit different than the regular office furniture.

What we made

The height adjustable desks are based on the column table. Part of the desks has a fixed height, with a drawer floating above the floor.

In the kitchen area we built a kitchen island with a 380 cm conference table attached to it. A cooking plate is integrated in the island.

Champagne Guy Dumangin

A tasting table on the height adjustable Eiffeltower base, with two zinc ice buckets set into the oak top.

Champagne Guy Dumangin stands for five generations and over a century of champagne know-how. Its vineyard on the slopes of the Montagne de Reims is largely classified Premier Cru.

The question

Create a table which we can use for our champagne tastings.

What we made

They chose base SL-036 Eiffeltower, adjustable in height and on wheels so the table is easy to move.

The top has two cut-outs for zinc buckets filled with ice, keeping the champagne cool during tastings. Oak covers close the cut-outs when the buckets are not in use.

Winters Goed Bekeken

A regulars' table and new displays for spectacle frames in the shop of a family of opticians.

Winters Goed Bekeken is more than an optician: a family business in its third generation since 1935.

The question

We were looking for a regulars table that suits our new shop and we needed new displays to show the frames.

The style fits perfectly. A job well done by the Sturdy-Legs team.

Schirm Menswear

A custom refreshbar with a matching lamp and two movable clothing tables for a menswear store.

Schirm Menswear, since 1813, stands for the latest trends, good coffee, tailor-made suits, time for the customer and honest advice for business and leisure wear.

The question

We were looking for customized tables for our clothing and a refreshbar. This furniture had to suit our shop concept.

What we made

Sturdy-Legs designed a refreshbar based on one of their bases, completely customized and with the fitting lamp the eye-catcher of our shop. They also created two clothing tables, movable and tough. We receive lots of compliments on these unique designs.

From day one Sturdy-Legs started its business, we are a satisfied customer. We love the flexibility and speed. We receive many compliments from our customers to the unique designs. This contemporary craftsmanship suits our store!

Blast & Paint Shop Gouweleeuw

Blast & Paint Shop Gouweleeuw specialises in painting heavy equipment: cranes, excavators and trucks.

The question

For our new office building we searched for a table for our waiting room which would really suit us. We are used to working with heavy equipment, so the assignment was: design and make a table that suits our company.

What we made

Together we came up with the idea to use part of a crane for the base. Sturdy Legs turned the crane into the base, after which Gouweleeuw painted it themselves.

The top is American walnut with a piece of glass in the centre, so you can see the crane through the tabletop.

FEG Netherlands

A professional kitchen island designed from scratch, fitted with high-end consumer equipment and shown at the Millionaire Fair.

Food Equipment Group specialises in industrial kitchen equipment for professional use and the highest private segment, supplying premium brands including GAZI.

The question

For years I had been thinking about a professional kitchen island with high-end consumer equipment. The collaboration was plain and simple: you design and make the kitchen island, we supply the equipment.

What we made

Sturdy Legs came up with a solution fully in line with FEG's wishes: a creation from scratch. FEG immediately called the organisation of the Millionaire Fair to show the island there, and was welcomed.
