Our roots
Sturdy Legs is a furniture maker in Emmeloord, the main town of the Noordoostpolder. This polder was won from the sea and built by pioneers. That mentality shows in how we work: practical, direct and never afraid of a challenge.
We design and make unique industrial furniture in the Dutch design tradition. The finest wood, combined with the honest strength of steel. Every piece tells a story of craftsmanship and gives an interior a character of its own.
Our workshop
Everything is made in our own workshop in Emmeloord. Here we saw, weld, sand and finish. Wood and steel come together under one roof, so we see every detail from the first cut to the last coat.
We choose our materials with care: oak, American walnut, beech, maple, ash or cherry for the top. Steel in any RAL colour, or copper, brass or stainless. Height adjustable by crank, handwheel or electric where you need it.
Who we work for
Interior designers, hospitality fitters, shops and offices across Europe rely on us for their projects. We think along with you, from a regulars' table for a menswear store to a conference table for a new office building.
Private customers are just as welcome. A dining table in the exact size of your room, a desk in your own colour, a bench that matches your table. If you can dream it, we can make it.
